These taxes are calculated on the value of the horse as listed on the import documents.

- Duty is a commodity-based Customs fee.
How much will I have to pay to US Customs?
The U.S. tariff rate from EU is 10% (Eff 04/10/25) and the duty rate for Horses is 0%.

What if my horse will not stay in the U.S.?
There are customs provisions (Temporary In Bond and ATA Carnet) for horses temporarily transiting through the U.S. that eliminates the tariff fee. We can make these arrangements for you - give us a call!

A horse foaled in the United States is not subject to tariff or mpf.
